Day 1: Lantau Island
We will contact you one day in advance and send you a fax, which includes detailed information about the collection time and place (and directions if no there is no free collection at your hotel), the itinerary, sightseeing information, and the emergency number of the tour operator. The tour coach will pick you up at the designated hotel. If you have not checked into one of the hotels, please go to one of them by yourselves.
Start from the hotels, we will follow The Tsing Ma Bridge to Lantau Island and enjoy the beautiful beaches along the way. The first stop of today’s journey is the Po Lin Monastery, ranked first of the most famous monasteries in Hong Kong. Opposite the Temple is the world-famous outdoor bronze Buddha, the Giant Buddha. We have also arranged a round-trip Ngong Ping 360 cable car ride for you, where you can enjoy a better view of the Buddha and Lantau Island.
After a vegetarian lunch at the monastery, we have a break in the quaint and picturesque village of Tai O. Tai O is also known as the Venice of Hong Kong. It is famous for its traditional salted fish, shrimp paste and fish belly. After that, you can enjoy a sampan ride round the stilted building. The last stop today is Ngong Ping Village, a cultural-themed village which can bring you different tour experience.
When the tour is over, the coach will take you back to your hotel.
